At Global Safety Belts (GSB), we are committed to the highest standards of safety and quality in every product we manufacture. All of our seatbelt systems are developed and tested to meet or exceed the most demanding global regulations.
FMVSS 209 Certification (USA)
We are actively pursuing certification under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 209 (FMVSS 209) for our Type 1 and Type 2 seatbelt assemblies as part of our expansion into the U.S. market. We currently collaborate with SGS North America Inc., a leading third-party lab for FMVSS compliance testing.
ECE R16 Homologation (Europe)
Our products are designed and homologated in accordance with UN ECE Regulation No. 16 (R16) for use in the European Union and other markets that recognize UNECE standards. We work closely with accredited technical services and homologation bodies in Europe to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Every seatbelt manufactured at our facility in Granollers, Barcelona, undergoes rigorous quality control procedures, including:
- Tensile strength and elongation testing
- Buckle durability cycling
- Retraction force measurements
- Flame resistance per FMVSS 302
- Environmental stress testing (temperature and humidity)
We also support custom testing and homologation programs for OEMs and racing applications.
